Title: Sweet Cake and a Dinner
Summary: Critic's brithday is coming up
Disclaimer: I do not own any of the characters, there might be some typos. Lets just say some people will know what prompted me to write this fluffy Critic fic.

<lj-cut="Click here for some cake! :D"><You drive along the highway towards the Critic’s hometown of Chicago, Illinois, its about 2 hours ahead and you been on the road for one or two hours, you’re not sure. You’re going there to celebrate his 30th birthday but you decided to arrive a day early.  You are going to go to the big birthday bash the next day but you thought it would nice to go to dinner as friends.

“Hello! I’m glad you can make it!” Critic happily exclaims, opening the door. You have known the Critic for a long time, hell he sat next to you in one class or another during high school, “...how was the fucking drive up here? Hows life in Pocahontas?”

“It was slow when I got into the city but not to bad and boring as a small town can get,” you answer as Critic let you inside.

You are currently holding a box with a birthday cake inside as it was tradition when you two were living in the same city that you made him a cake every year. The tradition was still kept even after you moved away from Chicago after high school. Critic have always seemed to love your cooking.

“Is that one of your famous sweet double chocolate fudge cake with the vanilla filling?” Critic stated, grinning like a 10 year old kid.

“You bet it is...” Critic then leads you to the kitchen where you put it on the counter and open it.

You can’t help but laugh as he squeals and hugs you. He pretty much is as excited as Chester is when it comes to sweets.

“It’s my favorite! Thank you!” He yells as he hugs you grinning.

“You’re welcome hahaha,”

“Can I try a bite?” Critic then asked, putting on that adorable puppy dog face, causing you laugh.

“Critic you know you have to wait until tomorrow...”

“But..but...one little bite?” Critic pleaded, then getting down onto the floor on his knees, upping the look on his face. You just laugh as you shake your head, he always looked so cute pleading like a little kid.

“Nope sorry, you’ll just have to wait,”

“You’re a meanie-face,” Critic said in mock hurt while pouting.

“Like I am ever year,” You said in reply as you put the cake in the fridge.

As you are putting the cake away, you are reminded how much fun it was to be Critic’s friend and to spend time with him.

“So where are you thinking for dinner?” You ask, turning around. The Critic was sitting on the counter top.

“I dunno...um..what are you feeling like for tonight?”

“Hmm, maybe Mexican?”

“Nah too spicy. How about Italian?”

You shake your ahead no as Critic went back to thinking of where to go to. After 15 minutes of thinking, you both decided to try that new place a few blocks into downtown after watching a movie together.

“Its so much fun to be a friend of the Critic, getting to meet all of his crazy friends and his boyfriend from a few states over...:” You though as Critic let you rest your head on his shoulders at the movie theater, “...and I love every minute of it.”</lj-cut>
